Congratulations to Stephanie Davies on reaching 100 Park Runs..
Due to a clash with other races, namely the Llanelli 10 who have opted to use our slot for their ten miler, we will probably move our ten miler to a later date, as soon as we have decided a date I will post it on here.
Our Llanwonno 5 Forestry races will be held on the last Wednesday in June each year, it will be on the 27th June this year. This was agreed with our fellow clubs and will allow us all to take part in the Scenic 7 and the Cosmeston Relays which should now fall on the two Wednesdays after us.
It is with great pleasure to announce that Andy Davies has been selected to receive a National Award for his contribution to Athletics in Wales.
Andy joined us in 1990 and has helped to run the club in many different roles, he has been our chairman for the last five years.
With over 100 park runs now completed he is closing in on 1000 races in the Ponty vest.
Enough with the usual results………Come on girls, we are up to second! Complete teams for the next three and I think we reach the dizzy heights of division 2. A gentle enticement…..whoever runs at Singleton (girls only) the Joe’s are on me!

A lovely day in not typical cross country conditions. We weren’t complaining. Well done all good effort!
After falling ill with serious pains Andy was rushed into hospital. Tests were done and it was found that Andy had a number of internal abcesses.
The operation was carried out yesterday Tuesday.
The Consultant has seen Andy this morning Wednesday and is confident that they have drained all the abcesses.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Andy a speedy recovery.
The recovery period is expected to be at least eight weeks.
The club has one entry into next years London Marathon.
Any member who has been refused entry can put their name forward for the club entry.
Please remember you must have proof that you were turned down, this is normally the letter you received in the post.
Also you must have been a fully paid up member before April 2011, big Rob has a full list of members.
The draw will take place at our AGM on the 15th November.
Congratulations to everyone, for such a small club you have done us proud.
