Lake Vrynwy Half Marathon

Just the solitary Rat today……..

Kelly Morgan 1.25.58 pb 10th female (they were flying)!

Beautiful scenery, flat course with certain PB potential.  Do not get stuck at the start as I did today though.  Thought I was close enough to the front until no one moved and then had to spend the first mile playing catch up.

A possible end of summer club trip perhaps?

Roman Run 3rd Sept 2011

When the call came past Carmarthen that Preselli had been cancelled, decisions had to be made.  Jason ‘race head, fresh as a daisy’ Scanlon seemed desperate to head back to Brecon, whilst Kelly ‘legs still burning from Thursday’s speed work’ Morgan fancied a more pedestrian plod, perhaps taking in the sights of Pembrey, Llanelli or the delightful Gower.  Alas, Brecon it was taking three hours to get to the start of race forty minutes from home.

Not sure who blew up first but…..

Jason Scanlon 1.56

Kelly Morgan 2.02 3rd female

Also ran, Craig Fowler 2.00.

But the main question of the evening is (answers below please)……

How many packs of sarnies did Jason manage to take home with him (there were plenty there)?

For anyone with a sat nav the postcode for crymych leisure centre is SA41 3QH. Basically you head on the M4 past swansea, get to pont abraham services and head for carmarthen A48. When you get to carmarthen head towards the A40 signposted for Haverfordwest and Fishguard. Keep on this road passing St Clears and Whitland. Go through a village called Llanddewi Velfrey and at next roundabout turn right and head towards Cardigan A478. Stay on this road for approx 10-12 miles until you reach crymych. The leisure centre is on your right by the school.

Start time is 1200 so i would advise at least 2 hours to get there.

People staying so far in the 5 star accomodation are nick, gwyn, jason, kelly, justin and coco. If anyone else wants to stay they will have to tent on the lawn, unless you kick coco out and make him sleep with the sheep and cows!

If anyone gets seriously lost my number is 07791949029.

If anyone wants a lift i suggest getting in touch with one of the above.

See you there.
