It’s been a long road, but I have finally done my 100th Park Run this week, hopefully I can get Steph to 100 as she is currently on 93.

this campsite is based on the outskirts of the town, it is recommended that you make your booking

before the day if electric hookup is required, otherwsie you can just turn up on the day.

In the evening there is a prize presentation and social evening where there is food, a bar and

entertainment available. The club will refund £5 to each member who participates in the race.

So come along and run whichever race you want and have the odd drink or two in the company

Social Night – aka Curry Night

Posted on Jun 26, 2011 under Running News | 2 Comments
Rob Phillips, has sorted out a new venue for the first Thursday of July, after training its down to the Cross Keys
Pub in Taffs Well, it would be appreciated if as many memebrs as possible could turn up and attend.
We had a marvellous turn out from our members for Man V Horse, but just remember the club ethos is
“A Roadent is a person who runs when they can, but drink like their life depends upon it and enjoys life”
so come along and enjoy the social aspect of the club, with Cosmeston Relays in the next month, we appear to
be on track for a record turn out and then its Race the Train in August before Winter sets in.

RACK RAID 2011

Posted on May 23, 2011 under Running News | 6 Comments

The race has come and gone and results will be displayed when available, this is a

thank you to all the members who participated in this years race. In particularly I would

like to thank Andy and Justin for using their cars to ferry the runners to the various start

points, in particular the early stages, thanks to Lee Sutherland for swapping his leg

to run leg 3 where I was encountering problems getting a runner to run that leg and

thanks to Jason who ran a second leg for the B team due to a runner being injured.

My last thanks is to Gwyn Lloyd for his navigational skills. I think we all agree

that it was another great day out for the club and up until stage 6 I did not mind

driving, but then the roadent spirit in you came out and most of you started

drinking and my pleasure in driving you lot around evaporated, so next

year there will be a different driver. Roll on Man v Horse.
