Murder Mile 2nd August 19

 

 

 

 

A record field turned out for Islwyn’s Murder Mile.

With 298 entries this was a record entry for what is regarded as one of the toughest 1 mile hill races in the uk.

with so many entries it was decided to split the race, with the men going first followed by the ladies 10 minutes later.

In the ladies race it was Clare Pattison who came through to win in 11 minutes 12 secs

1st Roadent home for the ladies was Stephanie Davies 12.01 4th overall and followed her superb Loop race win with a solid run and only 15secs behind 3rd place.

Fiona Davies continued to defy her age and put in a strong run coming  18th in 14.21.

Emma Addis 26th 15.13 and Sarah-Jane Winstone 30th 15.22 two of our newer members, who have injected so much fun and passion into the race scene, it’s a privilege to have them as team mates.

After a last minute decision It was great to see Mair Johnson on the start line, 75th 18.34.

In the Men’s Race it was Lloyd Shepard who took this year title finishing in 8.38.

1st Roadent home was Phil Williams 10.31, next in was Craig Yendle 54th 12.35 and Wyn Thomas 95th 13.52 both enjoying the racing scene.
