Here is a provisional list of club championship races for 2012. There will be a short course,long course and off road championship.
For the short and long course championship there will be 2 divisions for the men and 1 division for the ladies. For the off road championship there will be 1 division for the men and women.
The scoring system will be the same as last year and I will work out the divisions for the men shortly.

Due to a clash with other races, namely the Llanelli 10 who have opted to use our slot for their ten miler, we will probably move our ten miler to a later date, as soon as we have decided a date I will post it on here.
Our Llanwonno 5 Forestry races will be held on the last Wednesday in June each year, it will be on the 27th June this year. This was agreed with our fellow clubs and will allow us all to take part in the Scenic 7 and the Cosmeston Relays which should now fall on the two Wednesdays after us.

A massive well done to all the Roadents who turned out for the Club today, on one of the toughest courses and in the rain everyone did the Club proud.
Once again Brian Gough showed his class in the Vet 70 Category leading the field from start to finish.
With the Mens Team only able to get five runners to run it was important they all gave everything, and so they did, Peter Coles 30th pushed hard on the second lap and headed Dan Bodman into the last lap, Pete held his position and finished with a big smile. Rhodri followed and dug in as mum was watching from the side lines, Rhod managing to finish in the top 100 for the first time 84th. Who would finish next a well deserved 122nd for the ever improving Justin Jones just holding off Andy Dunscombe 123rd, Carl Edwards dug in and can be proud of a very creditable 133rd.
In the ladies race we had four Roadents taking part Kelly was first to finish in 27th place another hard fought race between Fiona and Sue, Fiona 59th manging a sprint to pass Sue 60th in the finish straight.
It was good to see Jan 114th taking part after Bridgend, Jan can be proud of her run.

We had four Roadents picked to run for Wales in the British and Irish International.
Fiona Davies, Brian Gough, Peter Coles and Nick Frost.
Out of the whole Welsh Team only two athletes were able to come away with an individual Medal.
Congratulations to Brian Gough who won the Bronze Medal in the vet 70 Cat. Brian also came away with a Silver Medal Team Prize Vet 70 Cat. Austin Davies was the other Athlete to win a medal.
There were fine runs from Fiona 88th and 12 in age Cat. Peter 94th and 19th in age Cat. and Nick 114th. and 22nd in age Cat.

Saturday 10th December Club Party at Hawthorn Leisure Centre.
Next year the club will once again be taking part in the Man V Horse.
Regional Cross Country Builth Wells..
December Races include- Pudding Race entries now closed, Nos Galon entries available online, Glynneath 5, Old Father Time 5.

The next cross country will be next Sunday at Singleton park in Swansea.
Hopefully we can get everyone to come along and support the club.
We really do need the girls to turn out, promotion is there for the taking.

THERE WERE 102 FINISHERS AND WE HAD 5 RATS RUNNING.
RHODRI EVANS 11TH 42.18, HUW DURHAM 45TH 49.26, RICHARD DAY 50TH 50.12, ANDY DUNSCOMBE 55TH 51.00, RUSS BOWN 65TH 53.53.
LOVELY DAY FOR RUNNING TESTING COURSE PLENTY OF MUD FOR THE TARMAC DODGERS. THANKS TO JASON FOR THE SUPPORT.
