Training Sessions - Tuesday

Power Station Hill Hopkinstown Cricket Club 7.20pm start for Beginners, Intermediates & Improvers.   7.30pm start for Fast Group.

  1. Warm Up - 1 mile jog to Courthouse Street (rear of Pontypridd Railway Station)
  2. Pick up the pace through the back streets of Treforest to the University.
  3. Pick up the pace again up to the traffic lights at the top of Power Station Hill
  4. Run down Power Station Hill (recover a bit in this section to the Upper Boat)
  5. Pick up the pace again through Hawthorn, Rhydyfelin and onto the Broadway
  6. Warm Down - From Pontypridd Railway Station jog back to the cricket club

Royal Hill - DinasHopkinstown Cricket Club 7.20pm start for Beginners, Intermediates & Improvers                                                      7.30pm for Fast Group

  1.  Warm Up - 1 mile jog to the Heritage Park Hotel
  2. Pick up the pace a bit through Brittania, Porth and cross over to the road through Dinas
  3. Pick up the pace from the Remploy Factory through Dianas until you come to the Royal Hill
  4. Run up the Royal Hill and turn right and continue until the road flattens (recover in this section)
  5. Pick up the pace again through Trealaw, back down North Road in Porth, until you get to the bottom end of Trehafod
  6.  Warm Down - From the lasy house in Trehafod jog back to the cricket club.

Ynshir Run Hopkinstown Cricket Club 7.20pm start for Beginners, Intermediates & Improvers                                                      7.30pm for Fast Group

  1. Warm Up - 1 mile jog to the Heritage Park Hotel
  2. turn right and run past the fire staion - pick up the pace a bit through North Road and run straight through the lane at the top until you get onto the new path.
  3. Pick up the pace from here, run past the school and continue running on the road, adjacent to the new road until you come to the large footbridge and cross to Wattstown Rugby Club.
  4. Run from here down about 400 metres(recover in this section) then turn right up the little hilll and run through the backstreets of Ynyshir and Mount Pleasant until you turn left to join the road, which will take you down to the Appollo Club.
  5. Pick up the pace back down North Road in Porth, until you get to the bottom end of Trehafod
  6. Warm Down - From the last house in Trehafod jog back to the cricket club

University & Trallwn Hopkinstown Cricket Club 7.20pm start for Beginners, Intermediates & Improvers                                                      7.30pm for Fast Group

  1. 1Warm Up - 1 mile jog to Courthouse Street (rear of Pontypridd Railway Station)
  2. Pick up the pace through the back streets of Treforest to the University and turn left to cross the bridge by the Otley.
  3. Pick up the pace again through Glyntaff and continue on this road until you are in Trallwn
  4. Turn left and continue until you cross back over the river Taff and run back past the Police Station
  5. Run through the bus station and up the hill and turn left past Coed y Lan School, continue up the hills until the road flattens out on the left.
  6. Warm Down - From this point jog back to the cricket club

Coed y Lan - Hill Reps Hopkinstown Cricket Club 7.30pm start for everybody.

  1. Warm Up - jog through Hopkinstown and into Pontypridd, run up Gelliwasted Road and run through the bus station and up the hill and turn left to Coed y Lan School.
  2. We will now run 20-30 mins of hill reps, race them hard and recover well coming back down the hill.
  3. Jog back from here, up the hills until the road flattens out on the left and run back to the cricket club.
