There was a good turn out from the club for the first cross country of the season.

We had 13 Men and 3 Ladies.
Men
There were 321 finishers.
Threre were good performances all round for the men, Brian Gough once again showed his class in the vet 70 winning by more than 6 minutes, Peter Coles was 2nd vet 45 and Nick Frost 3rd vet 50.
There were lots of first time runs, with Ross, Laurence Pole, Carl Edwards and Justin Jones.

Our A Team were 21/62 and B Team 55/62 .Our A Team are currently 10/12 in Division 1 and B Team 12/21 in the B Division.
Men VET 70
Another great run from Brian Gough gives him a good lead in the vet 70 Category. Brian won his category by more than 6 minutes.
Ladies
Our Ladies Team were 24th/54 Teams and are currently 4th in Division 3.
There were 179 finishers.
What a shame we didn’t have more ladies taking part, after a fantastic effort from Fiona, Sue and Jan we are currently 4th out of 14 Teams in Division 3. If we can get a full Team for the next one we can move upto 3rd.
Another strong run from Fiona Davies 2nd vet 55 and 75th in the race just held off first time cross country runner Sue Wales 78th. Jan Edwards again doing her first cross country dug in to finish 125th.
There were 3089 finishers.

2 roadents ran out of 109 finishers.
Rhodri Evans 25th 43.36, Rob Ford 70th 52.43.
Very boggy for the first and last mile,rob’s white daps didnt last white long! Some of it resembled the types of bog seen in the bog snorkelling event in mid wales.
918 finishers 183 runners beat the train time of 1 hour 47 minutes

400th Rob Ford unfortunately Nick Frost did not finish as he was injured. This was a
good hard run in some bad conditions but the Roadents done well and I would like
to say well done Tom, a good run.
